Eastern North Pacific Harbor Porpoise
Short and stocky bodies with a dark grey dorsal side and light grey bellies.
They reveal little of themselves at the water surface. Their blows make a sharp puff in the air and can be seen from shore. They are not known for traveling far distances.
They inhabit very cool temperate and sub-polar waters in the Northern Hemisphere.
Social system/Group size
The harbor porpoise is one of the smallest cetaceans.
